A conscious leader is someone who’s in touch with her worth, values, intuition and creativity. She’s in tune with nature; trusts her intuition; is skilled in transformative and relational methods such as assertive communication and empathy and leading from ‘we’ with clear boundaries.

When we don’t do what we really want to do, it’s frequently the shadow standing in our way. It is our highest purpose as human beings to live with focused commitment to our inner growth. We create eudaimonic contentment (i.e., deep, sustained contentment) when we forego immediate pleasures—such as the next shiny object (materialism, workaholism, sex, drug etc). ‘Eudaimonia’ is a Greek word associated with Aristotle and often mistranslated as ‘happiness’—which has contributed to misunderstandings about what happiness is.
