Everybody wins when it comes to corporate social respon...

Published in Australia’s premiere Health, Environment and Wellbeing Magazine WRITTEN BY TERRY ROBSON JULY 30, 2020 Environment  I  Health  I  Wellness  I  Life  I  Planet   Corporate. Social. Responsibility. Three words that, each on their own, are perfectly intelligible but, until recently, when placed together as a phrase became like something from a Lewis Carroll poem: nonsense. “Corporate social responsibility” as a phrase has been as oxymoronic as “gourmet cheese in a can”, “wise lycra fashion choices” or “must-see reality TV”. Today, however, corporate social responsibility (CSR) not only makes perfect sense, it is imperative to our way forward as a society. What is it? In truth, corporate social responsibility is about engaging with reality, the reality of the nature of a corporation…. Read more »

Lad Os Kalde Det Noget Andet

Read more »

Here’s Why The Best Leaders Focus On Personal Growth

It is our highest purpose as human beings to live with focused commitment to our inner growth. We create eudaimonic contentment (i.e., deep, sustained contentment) when we forego immediate pleasures—such as the next shiny object (materialism, workaholism, sex, drug etc). ‘Eudaimonia’ is a Greek word associated with Aristotle and often mistranslated as ‘happiness’—which has contributed to misunderstandings about what happiness is. Some experts say Aristotle meant ‘well-being’ when he wrote that humans can attain eudaimonia by fulfilling their potential(WSJ).” This article interview explores how you create a deep level of contentment and fulfillment for yourself in your business life.

Spiritually bankrupt in your work life?

Last week, I received an email from an old colleague of mine. We used to work together more than 15 years ago at a large growing mindful company publicly traded on NASDAQ. Back then she was in trade marketing, and I was on the consumer marketing side. The title of her email to me was “Spiritually bankrupt.”  “There must be something more than this ….” Today she is 40 years old. She has had a good career. Been there and done that. Made money for everyone else but herself, and she feels tired. “Not to complain,” she writes, “I’ve led a good life, but there has to be something more…. ” This woman is very bright. Hard-working. Creates results. Goes all… Read more »
