#7 Parenting and Leadership in the Age of AI

/ New Episode of New Global Mind: Leadership for Systems Transformation podcast /

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Léa Peersman in Vienna at the Global Peter Drucker Forum. Her profound insights into AI, leadership, parenting, and the pursuit of “humaning better” resonated deeply with me. Léa’s unique ability to perceive patterns and connections beyond the neurotypical mind was especially striking, and I was delighted to discover that she, like myself, is neurodivergent. I hope you find our podcast conversation as engaging and enlightening as I did.

The rapid evolution of AI is far more than a technological advancement—it is a deeply human journey that shapes how we raise children, lead organizations and redesign systems for a brighter future.

In our discussion, Léa and I delved into the complex interplay between parenting, leadership, and artificial intelligence. We examine how experiences in parenting can shape leadership qualities, emphasizing the critical role of self-leadership in both domains. Our exchange highlighted the significance of intentionality in parenting and leadership, particularly as artificial intelligence continues to transform our world. Léa underscored the necessity of cultivating emotional intelligence and ethical awareness for both parents and leaders. Developing these capacities enables us to model adaptive thinking and compassionate action, providing essential guidance for the next generations, and skills vital for individuals and organizations to adapt and thrive amid rapid change and increasing complexity.

The conversation address both the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence presents in the realm of parenting and leadership, as well organizational and systems designing.
